 yesterday and today we spent some time making a small catapult with only a few materials 

I found it fun making the catapult with my group but it was a bit hard to figure out how it was gonna catapult the ball exactly, once it came to testing it was hard to use it but once it launched it was easy our ping pong ball did-int get far but it was 10 out of 10 for the effort

My reflection report:

For my NZ Entrepreneur I chose James Henry Whittaker we had to choose a famous brand from NZ and I chose Whittakers chocolate because their chocolate is amazing I had to research the company,I found out that James Henry Whittaker started getting in to business overseas he was keen on the idea since he was 14. He finally executed the plan in 1896 and he started the company in New Zealand and his business runs in his family and is still running till this day,I liked this topic because it was about a company that is based on chocolate .

Regional & District Councils blog

 As a class in social studies we have been studying and researching Regional and District Councils and learning the different positions.We learnt about the different roles and what they do to benefit communities and how they do it. I learnt that the bigger the community the bigger the support from councils they will get.I figured out that the district councils and Regionals councils all work for the Government.I learnt stuff about our community and if there's ever been a problem I know who's gonna be needed and who's supporting our community.We had to find a problem in our community and the danger I chose potholes cause they can damage your tyres.I found this topic overall interesting and fun to learn about our community.

Leadership and Government

In term two we studied leadership and government as a class 

Leadership is like a trait anyone can have, for example if you take your siblings to the shop that's a form of leadership,democracy is like if it's fair when it comes to voting and it allows everyone to have a say.

Government is like multiple people who decide as a group how to run our country.

Being apart of Government can show leadership, and democracy helps everything stay controlled 

Leadership around our school is one of the factors that link to one of our topic,it was based on leadership

I found learning about government challenging because we had to read a lot and research,we had to identify problems in our community and how it was a danger,I did potholes because they can damage tyres.

Overall i found it really interesting i loved researching about our government and i learnt a lot from it.

 

How does healthy lunches affect our zero waste at school.

 In science we are currently doing science fair.Me and Kahurangi are researching on how does our schools healthy lunches really affect the school's zero waste. And to get results we are going to interview the care takers of the school and the canteen ladies to get their back on how the healthy lunches have effected our zero waste compared to last year.

 Our class has been studying Leadership within our school in social studies

We learnt about the different roles in our school that fall under the topic of being a leader within our school,I learnt who plays what role and looked into the role they play and how they benefit our school and what their job is,This topic relates to our leadership speech we did near the benign of the term and how we talked about a leader from our point of view,I learnt how important the different roles in our school are.Overall I learnt a lot from this topic. I didn't find it too interesting though.

Speech reflection

 At the start of term two we got given the topic leadership to write a speech on i based mine on my thoughts and our prime minister and yeah.

A leader in my eyes... What is a leader in my eyes you might ask, to me a leader  is someone that can see a different point of view on things and help to improve them. A leader is someone who can set a good example by making a difference and encouraging people to take right path and to have confidence to carry on even if they might make mistakes along the way, they may also be  someone that has respect and can hear people out having value in someone else's opinion and take it in consideration, and push it forward to acknowledge them and to show that there is a fair chance for everyone to be heard. Another great quality about a leader is someone that is trustworthy and not judgemental towards your thoughts and opinions  who raises your confidence to succeed and inspire and become a great leader yourself. 

Take our prime minister Jacinder Adern she is a great example of what a leader should be first off she took the role of becoming our prime minister with confidence,she helped us through many different situations like the christchurch shooting where 51 muslims were killed and 40 injured by a single man, she not only put a ban on a certain type of gun but she also made sure the man who was accountable for these actions was found and she also made a lot of tribute to the people who were killed and made sure they were never forgotten and to make sure things like this would never happen again.

Another example i have is the covid pandemic,when covid hit New Zealand like how miley cirus came in on a wrecking ball,our prime minister took action without the drop of a hat.Not only did she close borders she also self isolated everyone in their own homes and all motels,she showed true leadership in very tough times she shows commitment and passion. And various other qualities.

She is not the only great leader there are many great leaders whether they are publicly know or private YOU can be a great leader whether it's just showing that you care for one another like when one of your mates fall over and their too stubborn to go to the student center so you go out of your way to drag them there hmmm i wonder who that is… *cough cough Phoenix* anyways that is just some of the many ways to be a leader….thank you for listening.

The Nazi

 The Nazi is a party of people from Germany and are under the commands of Hitler,A positive about them i think is that near the end of the movie the Nazi had surrendered and let go of all the Jews and allowed them freedom,At first i felt bad for the some of the Nazi party mainly because some of them were just encouraged to join and kill people or else they would be put in the same position as the Jews,This gave me a wide point of view over the Nazi and expanded my knowledge on this topic in many ways it showed me how cold-hearted some can be and how easy it is to be encouraged to do bad things,One question i do want to know the answer to is why did the Nazi go along with Hitler and what were there thought when they killed so many people and if the war and how it affected them in any ways

 We sat down as a class and watched every part together sadly i missed a few parts but i am going to touch base on everything i did get to watch

A positive is that I learnt a lot more about the Jews and also a lot about the Nazi

And this also lead It to giving  deep thought and expressed on a lot of different 

subjects

It helps you have deep understanding and good dept in the subject and culture itself

Why did the war start in the first place and who was the main man ruling of the Nazi
